ARGALA BOLLARD

Санскрит:
अगल /argala/ latch, obstacle

WHAT FOR

This device is a perimeter guard designed to stop intruding automobiles.

WHAT OF

The bollard is a non-detachable post-like construct 1000 mm tall above ground and 325 mm of outer diameter. The strain element is made of steel.

It is installed in pairs – sets of two bollards – wherein each bollard is equipped with suspension brackets for rope or chain guards to link them creating a barrier for motorbikes. Each bracket can withstand at least 350 kg of static load without damage.

The construct comes in two design options:

  1. A pipe with a welded-in angled channel
  2. A pipe with a welded-in smaller heavy-wall pipe in it

WHY

In the international market, bollards are regarded an optimal means to restrict and guard territory. The reliable and durable construct may be used to block lanes of any width, even to prevent entry of motorcycles and bicycles.
